I've been listening to "Woodland" pretty much nonstop for a week now, and I very much enjoyed your deep dive into this song. Re: Neil Young--I just read in an interview with GW AND DR that "Comes a Time" was recorded in the Woodland studio, which is now their studio. So that also helps to explain the reference. If you listen to the opening of "What We Had," DR sounds a lot like Neil Young at the beginning of the song, and the music echos the opening chords in "Lotta Love." It's really subtle, but it's there!
